Landlo app icon Landlo for iPhone

Support

Landlo keeps track of your rental properties — rent, leases, tenants, expenses and the paperwork that comes with them. Built for landlords with a handful of units.

Need help with something? Email nima@kestrelautomation.ca. It goes directly to the person who built the app — there's no support queue and no ticket number.

If you're reporting a problem, it helps to know your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened.

Common questions

Where is my data stored?

On your iPhone. If you're signed in to iCloud it also syncs through your own private iCloud database, which is what makes it appear on your other Apple devices and survive a lost phone. It is never sent to us and we have no way to read it. The privacy policy covers this in full.

My records aren't showing up on my iPad

Sync runs through iCloud, so both devices need the same Apple Account. Worth checking, in order:

  1. Both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account — Settings, then your name at the very top
  2. iCloud Drive is on — Settings → your name → iCloud
  3. Both devices have a working internet connection
  4. Your iCloud storage isn't full
  5. Open Landlo on both devices and give it a minute — the first sync after a lot of new records can take a little while

If iCloud isn't available for any reason, Landlo keeps working normally and saves everything to the device it's on. Nothing is lost; it just isn't syncing yet.

Can I bring in records I already have?

Yes. Landlo imports from CSV files — a rent roll (properties, units, tenants and leases in one pass), a tenant list, a property list, expenses, and payment history. Each import shows you a preview of exactly what will be added or updated, and what it's skipping and why, before anything is saved.

Does Landlo collect rent or process payments?

No. Rent entries are bookkeeping records of payments you've received elsewhere. Landlo never touches money and isn't connected to any payment system.

What do the tax worksheets actually do?

They organise the figures you've already entered onto the real line items of Schedule E (US) and Form T776 (Canada), so they can be transcribed onto the actual form or handed to an accountant. Lines Landlo has no data for are shown at zero rather than hidden, so the worksheet still reads as the full form.

They are worksheets, not the official government forms, and not tax advice. Depreciation and capital cost allowance aren't calculated, and the mortgage figure includes full payments rather than the interest-only portion — both are flagged on the worksheet itself.

Why is a tax ID never requested?

Landlo doesn't collect or store a Social Insurance Number, Social Security Number or EIN. The 1099-NEC worksheets it generates leave those fields deliberately blank for you to complete by hand when filing.

How do I cancel or change my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. On your iPhone open Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions — Landlo is listed there with options to switch between monthly and annual, or to cancel.

Cancelling at least 24 hours before the current period ends stops the next charge, and you keep access until the period you've already paid for runs out. Landlo's own Settings tab has a Manage Subscription link that takes you straight there, along with Restore Purchases if you've moved to a new device.

Do I need an account to subscribe?

No. The subscription attaches to your Apple Account, so there's no email or password to create and nothing for us to store. Sign in to another iPhone or iPad with the same Apple Account and your subscription is simply there — tap Restore Purchases if it doesn't appear straight away.

How do I back up or export everything?

Settings has a backup that writes your whole portfolio to a single file you can save wherever you like. Individual screens also export CSVs, and documents such as lease agreements, notices and owner statements generate as PDFs through the standard iOS share sheet.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual records inside the app at any time. Removing Landlo from your device deletes the copy stored on it. The iCloud copy is managed in Settings → your name → iCloud, where you can remove Landlo's data from your Apple Account. Since we never receive your information, there's nothing to request from us.

Can I lock the app?

Yes — Settings has an optional Face ID or Touch ID lock. iOS performs the check and only tells Landlo whether it succeeded; your biometric data is never available to the app.

Requirements

iPhone and iPad running iOS 26.2 or later. iCloud sync is optional — Landlo works fully without it.

Still stuck?

Email nima@kestrelautomation.ca. Feature requests are welcome too — a lot of what's in Landlo came from landlords describing what they were doing by hand.
